RNY rail fastening system, also known as RNY spring-clip rail fastening system, is a railway fastening system suitable for 115RE rails, usually used for concrete sleepers, and is mainly used in railway projects in Mexico and North America.

System composition

 

SL bolts:

Each set of fastening system contains 4 SL bolts with a specification of 7/8*201, equipped with nuts and flat washers, which are used to connect and fasten other components to ensure the reliable connection between the fastening system and the sleepers and rails.

RNY spring bar:

that is, RNY spring blade, is a key component of the fastening system. It provides buckling pressure through its own elastic deformation, firmly fixes the rail on the sleeper, and prevents the rail from moving horizontally and vertically.

Square elastic pad:

It has good elasticity and vibration reduction performance, and the thickness is generally 5mm. It can be applied according to different rail types. It can effectively buffer the vibration and impact force generated during train operation and reduce damage to sleepers and rails.

NY nylon washers:

act as insulators and buffers, prevent direct contact and friction between metal parts, and enhance the insulation performance of the fastener system to prevent current leakage from damaging track facilities.

Track pads U-2:

Applicable to UIC 54 and 115RE rails, located between rails and sleepers, used to disperse the pressure transmitted by rails, adjust the height and horizontal position of rails, and make the rails more evenly stressed.

Technical features

 

Good vibration and noise reduction performance:

The elastic pads and spring bars of the RNY rail fastener system can effectively absorb and dissipate the vibration and noise generated by train operation. Compared with traditional fastener systems, they can significantly reduce the vibration and noise levels of the track, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment for residents and passengers along the line.

Reliable buckling performance:

RNY spring bars provide sufficient buckling pressure, which can always maintain a firm buckling of the rails under various working conditions such as high-speed train driving and heavy-load transportation, ensure the reliable connection between rails and sleepers, prevent undesirable phenomena such as creeping and lateral movement of rails, and ensure the stability and safety of the track.

Certain track gauge and horizontal adjustment:

The design of this fastener system takes into account the adjustment requirements of track gauge and level. By adjusting the position of components such as track pad U-2 or using pads of different thicknesses, the track gauge and rail level can be appropriately adjusted to meet the accuracy requirements during track laying and operation.

Easy installation and maintenance:

Compared with some other complex track fastener systems, the RNY track fastener system has a relatively simple structure, fewer components, and a relatively convenient installation and disassembly process, which can reduce construction time and labor intensity. It is also convenient for later inspection, maintenance and replacement of components, reducing track maintenance costs.

Ordinary railway trunk lines:

Widely used on ordinary railway trunk lines in Mexico and North America, it can meet the operating requirements of trains under different speeds and load conditions, and provide stable and reliable track support for railway transportation.

Urban rail transit:

It is also suitable for ground lines and some elevated lines in urban rail transit. Its vibration and noise reduction performance helps to reduce the impact on the urban environment. At the same time, the reliable buckling performance can ensure the safe and smooth operation of trains under conditions such as frequent start-stop and curve operation.
